IReal pro is such a great app functionally… but as said earlier, the sounds and performances leave much to be desired… although, they have added more styles over the years. Anyone know what app/daw/plugin allows this? It seems though, there is technology that allows one to isolate certain tracks of recordings and mute it… haven’t really looked into it, but there’s certainly enough yt videos where people have done it to remove vocals to create jam tracks. Always looking to make interaction for myself and students better when I need something on the go or in a pinch.

IReal, you can go as slow or fast as you like and it sounds the same. Drumgenius only has a +/- window of 15-20bpm. But there are other less expensive (even free) alternatives that are great tools for composing. Trouble is, the price you pay for using sample based performances you lose in functionality. Band in a Box is the most iconic backing track software that creates very realistic backing tracks. I emailed them years ago about using something like Drumgenius which are much better sounding drum performances.
